Curses has everything over blood magic. EVERYTHING!

It can reduce enemy energy over time. It has degen. It eats Enchantments like Candy [yay rend]. It lowers enemy defense. It has armor ignoring damage. [yay for Mark of Pain and barbs!] It Lowers incoming dmg. (which is what makes it far better than blood magic in terms of efficiency) Reducing dmg coming in is very good mana-wise. It inflicts crazy style conditions over an area. [Enfeebling Blood allows you to tank Aatxes and with Bonetti's VERY well]

From what I'm aware of and read, blood magic only does one thing well, manipulate hp. And from what advice I've recieved from Rex and the other vets here at gwg, it's energy / hp gained is really crappy. Better to go monk if you want to heal but I say just using one massive heal [Victory is Mine!] and a good long lasting dmg reducer is just plain better.

[and remember, W/N can tank enchantment ripping melee enemies.]

At vacation atm, can't post much.

First build stats are 10/10/11

11 Swords
10 Strength
10 Healing

As this one is currently only up to Lion's Arch, I'm curious what you would recommend instead of Hundred Blades? I'm fairly sure I have most of the rest already in hand (not positive).
Anything. A stance would be good, such as Berserker Rage or whatnot, or an extra damaging 5 eng cost sword attacking would also be perfect. Don't take Frenzy unless the monsters are doing 0 to you though, you'll die fast.

Armor of Earth + Adjacent Enemy Knockdown skill + Aftershock. I think that's how my friend does it. Don't really fancy playing a W/E though. =(

Nice build UberRusty! . I can kill about 4 minotaurs at once with that build.. but if more come, then i'm totally dead.. i need more practice =P.

Although it is a good build, I'm having trouble finding places with monsters that melee only.. Elona's Reach is a good place, but only the beginning has minotaurs.. Any suggestions on other places to farm?

I didn't know that

This really makes it useless in comparison with other ones don't you think ?

With a warrior I always tend to base a build around gladiators defense and have worked well against griffons, minotaurs, trolls, grawls and all other melee mobs and sometimes a few hydras with a bit of skill swapping.

There were a few old builds that I used for a while and have worked well but this is the last build I used for my warrior which also worked well.

Axe: 12
str: 9
Tactics: 9
Healing: 9
Smiting: 8

Watch Yourself
Cyclone Axe
Gladiators Defense {E}
Bonnetis Defense
Dolyak Signet
Vig Spirit
Live Vicarously
Zealot's Fire

Basically cast a Live Vicarously straight away, then wait for your energy to be full, then round up the enemy and quickly cast zealourt's fire (or cast before rounding if you wanna be safe) then straight away Glad Defense up and then cast Dolyak Signet then Vig Spirit and should have enough left for 1 cyclone axe that should charge up Bonnetis and Watch Yourself in one go. When Glad finishes just do this, 1 cyclone axe then 1 bonneti's, in between cast watch yourself, then cyclone, then bonnettis and cast dolyak as soon as it recharges.

If you have't guessed it, your main damage is not the axe but the zealot's fire, everytime u cast Watch Yourself, Dolyak Sig, Bonneti's and Glad Def you deal damage, the cyclone is there for your heal and with bonnetis' energy shouldn't be a problem. Maintaining HP should be no problem as well and if you do drop below 50%, then as soon as Glad Def is up, cast away cyclone axe as much as you can because unlike bonneti's, Glad Def won't break if you use a skill so that should pump your hp back up because u won't be getting hit for a few sec.

No rude tone in my sentences but I've tested Bonetti Defence and it ends when you cast a spell OR skill. (Skill = Spell in the description)
Actually it ends AFTER you have cast a spell or skill, try casting a spell that takes a second or 2 to get off, bonnetti's will stay on untill you have finished casting another spell or activated a skill. Just some spells and skills activate quite fast if not instantly.

Yes, that is what I meant, but pardon me for not putting it in more specific terms.

I always thought the mods on the piece of armor applied if you get hit in that section. So if your only using the boots, the -2 dmg only applies if you get hit in the feet. I read somewhere that there are different percent chances of you being hit in the various sections (chest/leggins/head/gloves/boots).

I'm probably very wrong on this. Be gentle in your response to the new guy.

As far as the builds. Awesome combos to try out for my w/mo and w/n even.

In all honesty i'm not really sure that matters at all, as you have a total health bar, and yes the damage varies, but i'm not sure getting a "hit" in one area or another makes a big differince, personally i have yet to acctually "see" someone get hit in the feet lol, perhaps its random depending ...not sure but i mean each peice of armor if your using a whole set together is all the same. ie 80x5 75x5 etc, etc..

If what you say has any merit then it wouldn't matter either way then, it wouldn't stack as a total but per indivual peice at any time any of it gets hit so a -2 to any peice rather than a stacked -10 per hit.

Almost like how i have heard some people say to put certain runes on certain armors which i don't really think matters either.

It applies everywhere. There was an extremely informative article about armor, I'll try and find it for you, it's where I got all my info from. n_n

I've got a w/mo solo build that can take on as many griffons and minotaurs as can attack you at once. Let's start off with my equipment:
Platemail everything but boots. Those are knights. I also have a sup vigor, sup abs, and sup tactics, with minor axe and minor str. I'm not sure that it's essential though.
Axe, Shield w/ -2 damage while enchanted.
Tactics - 16
Axe - 9
Heal - 12
Smite/Str - Whatever's left. This doesn't really matter, it just makes things quicker.

Cyclone Axe
Bonetti's Defense
Vigorous Spirit
Judges Insight (optional, but it speeds things up)
Healing Breeze (I don't find myself using it in most runs, but it's a nice backup)
Open, I usually bring Resurrect when I'm leveling someone else as they tend to die, alternatively you can bring executioners strike or some other damage skill. It doesn't matter.
Mending (Cast this before you leave the gate. Period.)
Live Vicariously (Same as mending. You want 10 energy left in your pool before you start fighting.)

After casting mending and live vicariously, go out, aggro a bunch of stuff, get good and surrounded, and right before the mob swarms, cast Vigorous Spirit and immediately afterward, cyclone axe. This should be enough adrenaline for Bonetti's Defense, which will fill up your energy bar. Cast Judges Insight as soon as you can, and your energy will more than likely be at 20 by the time it's cast. Cyclone Axe, Bonetti's, Repeat. Keep an eye on Vigorous spirit, and stay away from Rockshots. If you get a devourer on you while you're in the middle of a group, do whatever you can to get to it. Kill it. He'll kill you by killing your skills. This is an effective build anywhere vs. melee, for the most part. As per usual, enchantment droppers kill you.

Happy farming!
